Revoke or Expire Badges When Needed
Maintain credential integrity by revoking badges that should no longer be valid, or setting expiration dates for time-limited certifications. Revoked and expired badges are clearly marked on their verification pages.
Key Benefits
Revoke Invalid Credentials
If a badge was issued in error or the earner no longer meets the criteria, you can revoke it. The verification page immediately reflects the revocation.
Expiration Dates
Set expiration dates on badge templates for certifications that need periodic renewal (e.g. annual safety training, CPR certification).
Verification Page Updates
When a badge is revoked or expired, the public verification page clearly shows the status change, ensuring verifiers always see accurate information.
Credential Integrity
Lifecycle management ensures that your credentialing program maintains its value and trustworthiness over time.
How It Works
Set Expiration (Optional)
When creating a badge template, optionally set an expiration period. Issued badges will automatically expire after that duration.
Issue Badges
Issue badges as normal. If an expiration is set, each badge will have an expiry date calculated from the issue date.
Revoke When Needed
From the Issued Badges list, select a badge and choose Revoke. The verification page immediately updates to show the badge as revoked.
Verifiers See Current Status
Anyone checking the verification page or scanning the QR code sees the current status — whether the badge is active, expired, or revoked.
